About Jillian Dickerson

Jillian Dickerson resides in Youngsville with her husband and daughter. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and established her small business and non-profit consulting business, Engage Consulting LLC, in 2022.

Under Engage Consulting LLC, she is a contract business consultant with the Louisiana Small Business Development Center. She is the College of Liberal Arts Alumni Chapter Vice President, serves on the Family Connection and AmiKids Board of Directors and is a Past President of the 705, Acadiana’s young professional group where she was a board member for six years and a previous board member of One Acadiana. She is also a graduate of Leadership Youngsville Class I. 

Her background includes experience in education/program development, economic development, public relations, community development, and as President and CEO of a non-profit. She is passionate about the community, collaboration, and volunteering.

About Ryan Devillier

Ryan Devillier is the Center Director of the LSBDC at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he leads the center’s efforts to support small business owners and entrepreneurs across the Acadiana region. With over four years of experience working directly with local businesses, Ryan specializes in business development and government programming, offering guidance to both new and established entrepreneurs.

Ryan brings a strong background in higher education and workforce development. He holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Business from Nicholls State University and has earned a Certified Workforce Developer certification. Throughout his career, he has actively participated in leadership initiatives that strengthen his ability to serve the small business community with insight and impact.

In recognition of his dedication and early accomplishments, Ryan received the 2025 LSBDC Rising Star Award. His passion for economic development is rooted in a deep commitment to helping his community thrive.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys staying active by playing basketball and volunteering through the Kiwanis Club of Lafayette. He’s also an avid sports fan who brings team spirit into every aspect of his work.
